It's been a moderate season on the fantasy football injury front. And while no one's season was lost (thankfully) this past Sunday, some pretty big names went down with injuries in Week 5 — ranging from Travis Kelce to James Conner — and these could be multi-week setbacks.
What should fantasy owners know about these latest superstar injuries? Here's a quick roundup of what we know about each ahead of Week 6:
Anthony Richardson, QB, Colts
It could be a month of missed action this time for Richardson, who injured his shoulder Sunday and was diagnosed with a Grade 3 AC joint sprain. The rookie is unfortunately injury prone, and Gardner Minshew will start while he's recovering.
Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings
The top wideout in football is apparently a fallible man after all, as the superstar left Minnesota's loss against the Chiefs early with a hamstring injury. He had six targets and did not return. Jordan Addison will be the next man up in this pass-heavy offense if Jefferson misses time.
Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs
A potentially frightening non-contact ankle injury wasn't enough to keep Kelce sidelined in Week 5, but his status going forward is important to monitor. Identified as a low ankle sprain, the Chiefs play a Thursday Night game and the quick turnaround may determine whether Kelce has to miss a game.
James Conner, RB, Cardinals
Arizona's top running back hurt his knee and did not return in Week 5, but the early reports are positive and it's possible that Conner doesn't miss more than one game or so for this one. Emari Demercado could be the waiver wire target with Conner injured.
Tank Dell, WR, Texans
Dell left with a concussion and his status for Week 6 is unknown. Houston actually has a lot of options at wideout and his absence might not have much impact on his teammates — Robert Woods, and Nico Collins remain fantasy relevant.
Daniel Jones, QB, Giants
Jones hurt this neck Sunday and was relieved by Tyrod Taylor in New York's recent loss. It's expected that Jones could miss a bunch of time and Taylor will start a few games.
