As those in the know will tell you, autumn is secretly the best season at the shore, when crowds are thinner but the sun is still shining and there's plenty to do.
Below are four reasons to head to the shore this Fall, from seafood festivals to a celebration of the post-summer silence.

Sea Isle City Harbor Fest

Sea Isle City is known for its beaches and bar scene. But an equally integral, and often overlooked, aspect of the city is its fishing industry.
Walk towards the bay and you will stumble upon “Fish Alley,” a haven of seafood restaurants that sit beside the boats that supply them.
Sea Isle City Harborfest, an annual event set for the first Saturday in October, is a celebration of all of that, featuring delicious seafood, live music, vendors and more.
