This year, the demos focus on five key areas that impact us every day: earth, energy, communication, health and sports. Planned demos include using liquid nitrogen to make instant ice cream, running on liquid and bending glass.
Drexel students and professors will participate in the event, as will representatives from the University of Pennsylvania, the Chemical Heritage Foundation and the Franklin Institute.
Exciting hands-on activities like those found at Philly Materials Day could inspire attendees to pursue careers in STEM down the road. This is a can't-miss event for budding scientists.
