Celebrate the holiday magic in Manayunk now with free Jolly Trolley rides, festive entertainment, tons of holiday lights, and shopping, merchant deals & specials, Hanukkah celebrations, and more throughout the holiday season. Main Street Manayunk invites you to join in on celebrating the holiday cheer!
Manayunk is LIT for the holiday season with the Manayunk Gets Lit Competition. With over forty businesses decked out in their holiday best, Main Street is the ultimate winter wonderland. Doors, roofs, windows, and more are adorned in 80,000+ dazzling lights in addition to Main Street’s 30 foot holiday tree. Hint hint…the Manayunk Jolly Trolley provides some of the best views! While taking in the all lights, spectators should be sure to vote for their favorite Get Lit storefronts and be entered for their chance to win a $200 Manayunk Shopping Spree.
The Jolly Trolley is the most magical way to get around Manayunk this holiday season and to take in all the twinkling lights! Better yet, it’s FREE! It runs Dec. 5 through Dec. 21 on Thursdays and Fridays from 5-9 p.m and on Saturdays from 1-9 p.m. Riders can feel free to hop on and off up and down Main Street, and the entire loop is about 20 minutes in total.

Each weekend, Manayunk visitors may end up meeting some special guests on Main Street or on the trolley including jolly old Saint Nick and his elves, Mr. Grinch, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Other performance groups that may grace the street include The Philadelphia Freedom Band and Philly Accents. On Thursday nights, trolley riders receive complimentary Jolly Trolley swag bags and the Manayunk Welcome Center will host festive crafts like ornament making, cookie decorating, and cookie cutter art.

Manayunk shines bright for the Festival of Lights. On Thursday, December 26 at 5 p.m., the neighborhood will host a magical Hanukkah candle lighting in Canal View park with Mt. Airy Chabad. Enjoy candles, delicious latkes, and so much more. The festivities continue with the Eight Crazy Nights of Hanukkah Giveaway where Manayunk will bring ‘Eight Crazy Nights’ of Instagram giveaways with prizes from local restaurants, stores, and specialty businesses.Guests will also be able to stop by The Manayunk Welcome Center at 106 Grape Street for tasty treats, giveaways, and gelt throughout the holiday.
