On Saturday, The Friends of Rittenhouse Square will hold an outdoor dining event on 18th Street, between Locust and Walnut streets, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The event will close that stretch of 18th Street to vehicular traffic for the duration.

On Sunday, the Old City Festival will take place along Arch Street from 2nd to 4th streets, and 3rd Street from Market to Race streets, beginning at 3 a.m. The event will begin at noon and conclude by 6 p.m.

Kelly Drive will be closed Saturday – from the Strawberry Mansion Bridge to Fountain Green Drive – between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the Navy Day Regatta. The following detours will be in place: Southbound Kelly Drive traffic will be detoured up the Strawberry Mansion ramp to Reservoir Drive, south on Reservoir Drive to Fountain Green Drive, west on Fountain Green Drive to Kelly Drive, then south onto Kelly Drive. Northbound Kelly Drive traffic will be detoured east on Fountain Green Drive, opposite the southbound detour route. Sufficient detour signs will be posted along the detour routes. Delays should be minimal.

On Sunday, beginning at 8:30 a.m., the Meredith Home & School Association 5K Fundraiser Run/Walk will take place. The run/walk begins at 725 S. 5th St. (Meredith School), north on 5th Street to Bainbridge Street, east on Bainbridge Street to 2nd Street, south on 2nd Street to Christian Street, west on Christian Street to 5th Street, north on 5th Street to the finish line at 725 N. 5th Street (Meredith School). Vehicular traffic will be affected on those streets.

On Sunday, the Columbus Day Parade will march along South Broad Street from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The following streets will be closed:
• Broad Street, from Washington to Bigler Street
• 1400 block of Bigler Street
• Washington Avenue, from 13th to 17th streets
• Oregon Avenue, from 13th to 15th streets
All cross-streets along Broad Street will be open, conditions permitting, with the exception of Washington Avenue, Bigler Street, and Oregon Avenue. Police are assigned to all closures and events, but traffic in the areas could be heavy at times.
