Voluntary Eagles OTAs began today, and as expected, Evan Mathis was a no-show. The Eagles previously shopped Mathis, but Chip Kelly stated bluntly during the draft that they have not received any trade offers for him.
Evan Mathis is still a no show at eagles OTA's

Mathis will turn 34 during the regular season, and he is the oldest projected starting offensive lineman in the NFL. However, he is an athletic freak of nature and has relatively low mileage with just 78 career regular season starts.
The offensive line is unarguably a major long term concern for the Eagles. To a lesser degree it is also a short term concern because of the Eagles' lack of quality depth along the offensive line. It will become an even more significant short term problem if Mathis and the Eagles cannot work out their differences.
Mathis, Todd Herremans, Jason Peters, and Jason Kelce all played together for four years from 2011-2014, with Lane Johnson added to the mix in 2013. Herremans was released earlier this offseason, but the Eagles are still in good shape along the OL, for now, in terms of cohesion and continuity assuming Mathis' absence doesn't extend beyond voluntary workouts.
Mathis' situation is clearly something to watch as the offseason continues.
In former Eagles news, DeSean Jackson was a no-show today at Redskins OTAs:
