The Philadelphia Eagles confirmed Wednesday that they traded Eric Rowe to the New England Patriots for a fourth-round pick in 2018 that can become a third-round pick based on playing time conditions. It was originally reported that Patriots guard Josh Kline was also part of the deal. He is not.

According to a source, the fourth-round pick will become a third-round pick if Rowe plays in at least 50 percent of the Patriots defensive snaps either in 2016 or 2017, which feels like an attainable figure.
Here are the Eagles' 2018 draft picks, updated after the Rowe trade:
Round | How acquired |
1 | Eagles' own pick |
3 | Eagles' own pick |
4 | Eagles' own pick |
4 | Acquired from Vikings for Sam Bradford. This pick can become a second-round pick if the Vikings win the Super Bowl in 2016. It will become a third-round pick if the Vikings' make it to the NFC Championship Game. The Eagles would give back a seventh-round pick in that second scenario. |
4 | Acquired from Patriots for Eric Rowe. The fourth-round pick can become a third-round pick if Rowe plays in 50% of the Patriots' snaps either in 2016 or 2017. |
5 | Eagles' own pick |
6 | Eagles' own pick |
7 | Eagles' own pick (Note: This pick will be sent to the Vikings if Minnesota participates in the NFC Championship Game, but does not win the Super Bowl) |
