The Dance with the Bride 2015 fundraiser event. This year, the event will be held at the Painted Bride Art Center on June 4, 2016.
The Painted Bride Art Center will host its annual Dance with the Bride event on June 4, celebrating the center's 47th anniversary. The 2016 theme is "A Taste of Philadelphia," so expect local food, art and entertainment at the fund-raiser.
This year, the event will be held at the Painted Bride and for the first time will offer Young Friends tickets. The tickets are $30 for those under age 30. Enjoy an open bar, food truck fare and a dance party hosted by DJ 4ocus from 10 p.m. to midnight as a Young Friend.
General admission tickets are $100 and include a full night of entertainment, food and drink. Doors open at 7 p.m.
In the Painted Bride, the venue will be divided into representations of Philadelphia neighborhoods with pop-up performances in each section. One pop-up highlight is visual artist Gina Gruenburg's masks, puppets and henna tattooing.
The main event is a performance by Breakwater, a Philly funk band.
