As the weather gets cooler and Philly gets ready for fall, The Navy Yard is set to host its second annual Night Festival on Thursday, September 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Crescent Park. This all-ages event promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with live music, fantastic food and activities for the whole family. This year’s festival will also feature exciting to-be-revealed art installations at the Navy Yard. The event is free and open to everyone, but registration is highly encouraged.
Local vendors will offer a diverse array of products and crafts while Philly’s favorite food trucks serve up snacks and adult beverages. Inflatable games will keep kids entertained for hours. The Night Festival will host live music from singer-songwriters O.T.C. Collective. There also will be special appearances by Swoop and Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, in anticipation for the Eagles’ home opener to be held at the neighboring Sports Complex on September 16.
The Navy Yard is easily accessible. For rideshares or taxis, use the Gatehouse address at 4503 S. Broad Street. The campus is bike-friendly with lanes, racks, and Indego Bike Share stations at Crescent Park and nearby NRG Station. Public transit options include SEPTA’s Broad Street Line to NRG Station, followed by Navy Yard shuttles running every 15 minutes throughout the campus. Free street parking is also available.
So, bring your loved ones and enjoy an evening of entertainment, local food, and community spirit at The Navy Yard Night Festival!
