Emergency road repairs have shut down the southbound right lane of the Pennsylvania Turnpike's Northeast Extension near Lansdale, Montgomery County, CBSPhilly reports.
The Turnpike Commission says motorists can expect stopped or slow traffic and a 7-mile delay. A single-lane traffic pattern can be expected between Lansdale Exit 31 and Mid-County Exit 20.
Crews shut down the right lane between milepost A29.5 and A29.1 around 6:15am Tuesday to perform emergency road repairs in the vicinity of the mainline bridge over Green Lane.
Emergency repairs are extensive, and the lane closure could remain in effect through the evening rush hour, according to the Turnpike. A detour is in place.
