The Philadelphia Eagles listed three players on their initial injury report ahead of their Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, resting players omitted. The Rams listed four players on their initial injury report.

Here's the Eagles-Rams injury report, with analysis...

Player Injury Wed ThursFri Status
WR A.J. BrownKnee/RestDNP
QB Kenny Pickett Ribs Full
DT Byron Young Hamstring Full

Wednesday notes
:

• The Eagles suffered a major loss in the Wild Card Round when Nakobe Dean tore a patellar tendon. More on that below. But otherwise, the Eagles have as clean of an injury as we have seen since September.

A.J. Brown's inclusion on the report is almost certainly just maintenance, as it was last week.

Other notable players on IR, PUP, suspension, etc.

LB Nakobe Dean (IR): Dean tore a patellar tendon, which is an extremely serious injury, as our Evan Macy laid out on Tuesday. His season is over, and he will very likely miss time in 2025 as well. Dean had a breakout season in 2024, making 128 tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, two recoveries, and a game-sealing INT Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He will be replaced in the lineup by some combination of Oren Burks and maybe Jeremiah Trotter.

EDGE Brandon Graham (IR): Graham tore his left triceps in the Eagles' win over the Rams. Before the season, Graham said that the 2024 season, his 15th in the NFL, would be his last. He played very well, and was arguably the team's best edge defender. Graham finished with 20 tackles and 3.5 sacks, with his stats not truly showing his actual impact, as has been the case throughout his career. Graham has hinted that there is a chance he could return if the Eagles advance far enough in the playoffs.

WR/RS Britain Covey (IR): Covey was previously on IR with a shoulder injury. He returned from that injury and played in games, but landed on IR once again with a neck injury. Cooper DeJean will return punts.

FB Ben VanSumeren (IR): VanSumeren was a core special teams player and linebacker who became a fullback for the Eagles this season, and looked pretty good in that role. He suffered a lower-body injury during practice and landed on IR.

Player Injury *Wed Thurs Fri Status
LT Alaric Jackson Chest DNP
CB Ahkello Witherspoon Thigh DNP
NT Bobby Brown III Shoulder DNP
TE Tyler Higbee Chest Limited

Wednesday notes:

• Coming off a Monday night matchup, the Rams did not practice on Wednesday. Their injury report is an estimation.

• Jackson is the Rams' starting LT. Rams beats don't yet seem to know the severity of his injury.

• The Rams' cornerback situation is unsettled at the moment, as we laid out in depth in our Eagles-Rams preview. They recently benched Cobie Durant in favor of Ahkello Witherspoon, who left the Vikings game with a thigh injury in the second half and did not return. If Witherspoon can't play on Sunday, the Rams will field a very small CB duo in Darious Williams (5'9, 187) and Durant (5'11, 180), who should both be at a disadvantage against contested catch artists like A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

• Higbee was coughing up blood during the Rams' Wild Card Round win over the Vikings, requiring a trip to the hospital. Sean McVay said on Tuesday that his injury was not serious and that he should be good to go for Sunday.

• Brown is a 6'4, 324-pound run stuffer.

Other notable players on IR, PUP, suspension, etc.

CB Derion Kendrick: Kendrick started 10 games for the Rams in 2023 before tearing an ACL during training camp. His season is over.

RB Blake Corum: Corum ran 58 times for 207 yards and 0 TDs as a rookie backup to Kyren Williams. The Rams' RB2 is now Ronnie Rivers.

LB Troy Reeder: Reeder is a replacement-level starting LB. He had 46 tackles in 6 games before going on IR with a hamstring injury.

DT Larrell Murchison: Rotational DT.
