In the Philadelphia Eagles' loss to the Washington Redskins Sunday afternoon, long snapper and magician extraordinaire Jon Dorenbos injured his wrist, forcing Brent Celek into action as the Birds' emergency long snapper.

With Celek as the long snapper, the Eagles had a botched field goal operation that resulted in holder Donnie Jones being gang tackled by several Redskins defenders for a big loss.
After Celek was later lost with a stinger injury, the Eagles turned to tight end Trey Burton to be their long snapper after a comical scene on the Eagles sidelines in which several players including Burton, Bryan Braman and Mychal Kendricks were practicing long snaps. On one 41-yard field goal attempt, Burton launched a high snap that Jones was able to corral and put down in time for kicker Caleb Sturgis to knock it through.
In the aftermath, Doug Pederson revealed in his Monday morning press conference that Dorenbos will head to the injured reserve list, and is done for the season. The Eagles will have to sign a long snapper for their remaining three games.
In November, Dorenbos signed a three-year contract extension that will keep him in Philly through the 2019 season.
