Jalen Hurts was ruled out with a concussion for the remainder of Sunday's Eagles game at Washington.

The quarterback took off running on a 2nd and 20 early into the first quarter, and looked to have taken a hit to the head on the way down. He was helped up by a teammate and appeared to be shrugging off the contact after the whistle, but sideline spotters pulled him off the field and took him into the blue medical tent.

Kenny Pickett entered the game, and despite a timeout called where Hurts was back on the sideline with his helmet on as a show he wanted back in, Pickett remained and Hurts was eventually taken back into the tent and then into the locker room. He wouldn't return.

Pickett completed the drive with a four-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Brown, putting the Eagles up 14-0.

Hurts was pulled earlier in the season for a concussion evaluation, but returned to the game soon after.

Eagles reserve running back Will Shipley was also evaluated and ruled out with a concussion on a later play.
