MOBILE, Ala. -- Eagles head coach Doug Pederson announced Wednesday that Chris Wilson had been hired as the Eagles' new defensive line coach. Wilson had recently been named Missouri's defensive line coach, but he never actually coached any games there. Wilson has an extensive history coaching college defensive lines. His defensive line resume:
Years | School |
1998-1999 | Illinois State |
2000-2004 | Colorado |
2005-2009 | Oklahoma |
2010-2012 | Mississippi State |
2013 | Georgia |
2014-2015 | USC |
Wilson served as Fletcher Cox's defensive line coach at Mississippi State from 2010 to 2012. He has also coached players like Leonard Williams, Preston Smith, Pernell McPhee, and Gerald McCoy.
"Jim Schwartz and I spent about two and a half hours with him," said Pederson. "He has great attention to detail, fundamentals, he's a technician. He's worked with some of our guys before, he's recruited some of our guys before, actually, so he's very aware of the talent that we have and he'll fit our system well."
