An investigation into an incident that took the life of beloved South Jersey teacher Allison McGinnis, 29, of Southampton, alleges that the driver of the vehicle was in possession of drugs at the time of the crash.

According to the Burlington County Times, Patrick Miller, 28, of New Hanover, has been charged with failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving and possession of a controlled dangerous substance as a result of the Aug. 27 incident on Rt. 206.
McGinnis was running near the roadside when she was struck and killed.
The incident also left David Eldridge, 31, of Wrightstown, dead.
