The Craft Beer Express takes off on Saturday, April 9, starting at 11 a.m. Attendees choose which location they wish to start at from the list of participating bars and register for $10 to receive a ticket that will be exchanged for a wristband once at the bar.
The wristband is needed to ride on a bus that loops around to all the bars on the crawl. Frankford Hall, Bishop's Collar, Varga Bar and Pub on Passyunk East are a few of the spots included.
Many of the bars participating will have special craft beer tap takeovers. Varga Bar will feature Tired Hands Brewing, Devil's Den will feature Firestone Walker Brewing, The Institute will have Ninkasi Brewing on tap while playing classic ninja movies, and Urban Saloon is picking craft beers from different time zones to compete against each other for the top spot.
Those are only a few of the bar specials, though, so attendees will need to plan strategically if they want to get to all the locations before the buses stop circling at 6 p.m.
