Two Philadelphia universities with study abroad programs in Paris said that all students in the country were safe after a series of terrorist attacks took the lives of more than 120 people.
Drexel issued a press release Saturday saying that all students in Paris were safe and accounted for, adding that they are "deeply saddened" by the attacks.

The release also encouraged students abroad to enroll in the State Department's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, which allows those outside the country to receive updates on safety conditions and help the U.S. Embassy in any country contact them in the event of an emergency.
The university said it was working with their French partners to offer condolences and support.
The University of Pennsylvania also ensured the friends and families of their students in Paris that their loved ones were safe and sound in a Facebook post:
All Penn Abroad students in Paris are safe and accounted for. Our thoughts and support go out to Paris and France.
Temple University does have a Paris program that runs during the summer but doesn't have one during the Fall semester. In a Facebook post, the university wrote "liberté, égalité, fraternité," which translates to "liberty, equality, fraternity."
The post added, "on a busy Friday night, we're pausing to acknowledge the latter," including a picture of the Eiffel Tower.
