Thanks to Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning’s mystifying clock management late in Sunday night’s game, the Dallas Cowboys were able to pull off a 27-26 comeback victory at Jerry World.
The win didn’t come without some attrition, though. In the fourth quarter, star wide receiver Dez Bryant broke his foot. Here is what Jason Garrett said after the game, via Pro Football Talk:
“We want to be careful about making the entire judgment on it but Dez did break a bone,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said in his postgame press conference. “We anticipate him having surgery. The initial diagnosis is he’ll be out 4-6 weeks.”
This registers as a huge development around here, because the Cowboys will be without Bryant for next week’s highly anticipated showdown against the Eagles at The Linc. In addition to Bryant, Dallas will likely also be without rookie defensive end Randy Gregory after he also suffered an injury on Sunday night:
The Cowboys were already going into the Week 2 matchup minus linebacker Rolando McClain and defensive end Greg Hardy. For the recent list of players that the Eagles won’t have to face, click here.
