A decomposed body wrapped in a carpet was found in Fairmount park Sunday, police said.
The man was discovered by a passerby around 2:30 p.m. on the 2400 block of Reservoir Drive in the park.
Police have not yet determined an age. Officer Christine O'Brien, a spokesperson with the Philadelphia Police Department, said it's too early to tell if there's been any foul play.
The body has been taken to the medical examiner where they will soon conduct an autopsy, O'Brien said. If results warrant, police may decide to investigate the case as a homicide.
