On Dec. 3, the residents of Elfreth's Alley will open their doors for the annual Deck the Alley holiday event. The historic homes will be on display for the public to wander through.

The Alley is often referred to as "our nation's oldest residential street." Thirty-two houses, built between 1728 and 1836, are located there.

The day will feature carolers, refreshments, storytelling, an upside-down Christmas tree and a visit from Benjamin Franklin, too.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children. There are also group rates available.
