For the many Philadelphia-area residents who love Wawa, what is it that you adore most about the convenience store chain? The sandwiches? The coffee? The, uh, bathrooms?
What about the phonetics? The way the soft, simple, two-syllable word rolls off the tongue? It's certainly an easier thing to slur to your friends than, say, "Outback Steakhouse" when you've had a few too many and are looking for a late-night snack.
It's also a pretty easy word for a young child to pronounce, like "mama" or "bottle."
Stephanie Cornwell's young daughter Abby loves Wawa and loves saying it. Cornwell posted a Facebook video last week that shows Abby saying "Wawa" from the backseat in the car every single time they pass a store.
"Abby loves Wawa so much that she points it out every time we drive past one. I started recording it, and the results are far from disappointing," Cornwell wrote.
The video has since gone viral, gaining 100,000 views and more than 1,500 shares.
Looks like Wawa has a loyal customer for years to come.
