I-295 southbound in Gloucester County has reopened after it was shut down early Monday morning due to a head-on crash, 6ABC reports.
The incident occurred at 4:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes in West Deptford near exit 20 for Thorofare.
Police told 6ABC that a Prius was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it crashed head-on into a pickup truck.
The driver was able to jump out before the pickup burst into flames. The driver of the Prius needed to be rescued from the vehicle.
Both were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
CBSPhilly reports that the driver of the Prius, 26-year-old Eileen Dougherty of Boothwyn, Pa., has been charged with DUI.
All lanes of I-295 south were shut down in the area for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene and has since reopened.
