The organization has been working since 1972 to support biking rights in the Philadelphia region, and has worked in recent years to create bike lanes on busy streets like Fairmount Avenue and educate residents on proper biking practices. The Bicycle Coalition promotes cycling advocacy, healthy living and healthy transportation; it promotes a way of life, a way of bringing people together for a greater purpose.
