White Lung rattled the bones of the sold-out Boot & Saddle on Monday. Playing behind their 2016 release “Paradise,” the quartet shredded through 14 songs with monstrous ferocity.
Lead singer Mish Way owned the stage and room with her precision hand gestures and golden hair blur. Kenneth William’s guitar and Anne-Marie Vassiliou’s drums collided with Caroline Doyle's bass and sped the songs off cliffs with abandon. Only four albums into their career, their quick songs and electric stage presence show how much they deserve a bigger venue. Until then, enjoy them in the tiny spaces where sweat and blood rage.
Greys opened. Touring behind their second album “Outer Heaven,” lead singer and guitarist Shehzaad Jiwani and his three bandmates were a brash, welcome start to the evening.
