Friday night was a welcome nostalgia trip as Culture Club entertained a packed Electric Factory. The backing band walked on stage one-by-one to cheers but a giant roar filled the venue when Boy George finally appeared. From there they blasted right into a catalog of hits from the ’80s.
Boy George spent some time reflecting on the old times himself in between songs, recalling a time when he could look out on the crowd and not see a sea of cell phones. He asked if we could all hold up our Rubik’s cubes instead.
Though Boy George has previously faced vocal issues, he sounded just like old times.
