Another farewell looms for Comedy Central fans.
Jon Stewart's exit from The Daily Show on August 6 will be followed the end of 'Key & Peele' when the current season comes to a close, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The duo of Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele started tackling societal and racial issues for Comedy Central with their topical sketches in 2012, drawing 2.1 million viewers when the first episode of the series aired in 2012.
It's a tough break for fans of the series, especially at a time when the need for such candid explorations of race in America remains at a high.
Don't worry too much, though. Comedy Central announced in March 2014 that an animated spinoff, based on the self-referential "Vandavion & Mike" from the duo's Critiquers Corner, will be coming to the network and will feature the characters as 12-year-old junior high hall monitors.
The series remains in development, but for now, listen to Peele and enjoy the rest of the season, which airs Wednesdays at 10 pm.
