Billions of YouTube videos will be accessible to Comcast subscribers nationwide as part of the company's new partnership with Google.
In a joint announcement Monday, both companies said the YouTube app will launch on Xfinity X1 platforms later this year. The entire YouTube catalog will be available alongside the live, on-demand, DVR and web programming included in Comcast customers' Xfinity TV subscription.

"We are excited to partner with Google to bring YouTube to X1 and provide our customers easier access to all the content they love in one place," said Sam Schwartz, Comcast's chief business development officer. "By integrating YouTube into the X1 experience, viewers can simply and effortlessly access videos on any topic, from cooking, to beauty and fitness with just their voice."
"The YouTube integration on X1 will provide users the ability to seamlessly navigate and access YouTube content alongside their cable service," said Robert Kyncl, chief business officer. "And by simply using their voice, users can now access diverse videos that creators make every single day."
Users will also be able to search YouTube content via Comcast's voice remote.
Last November, Philadelphia-based Comcast reached a similar agreement with Netflix to add the streaming service's collection to the X1 platform.
