The market is open for its preview weekend Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Along with photos with Santa, food, music and other entertainment, Christmas Village will show off the carousel that features 20 wood carved horses.
Whole Foods will also hold a raffle for anyone who rides the carousel. The winner will win an organic Thanksgiving dinner that can feed 6-8 people.
After preview weekend ends, Christmas Village will officially open on Nov. 26 and will close Dec. 24.
Christmas Village has moved to a new location this year in the City Hall Courtyard and Northern Apron. It moved from its previous location at LOVE Park because of ongoing renovations.
The market will also hold a number of events this year, including a lantern parade on Nov. 20, a gingerbread contest on Dec. 9, Wednesday happy hours starting Dec. 7, student discounts and a first-ever bratwurst eating contest on Dec. 21 from 5-7 p.m.
