New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's staff has been quick to shut down a report that says President Donald Trump has a job for him in the White House.
The New York Post reported Saturday that Christie is telling his staff that he will be taking a job in Washington, D.C. alongside Trump. A "source close to the White House" said that while a position has not been worked out, that the New Jersey governor "will only take something where he is answerable to the president," according to the paper.

Brian Murray, Christie's spokesperson told the Asbury Park Press Sunday that the report was untrue.
"In fact, the governor said at a press conference this past week and on his monthly radio program that he plans to finish his term as governor, and he dismissed the type of speculation being reported by the New York Post," he told the newspaper.
Christie strategist Mike DuHaime told Politico Sunday that the claim is "absolutely not true."
Christie and Trump met for lunch Tuesday, where the two reportedly discussed the nation's opioid epidemic. The governor also said that Trump made him order meatloaf during the meeting.
Murray could not be reached for comment Sunday night.
