Be prepared, New Jersey residents. Your governor promises to represent you at the first Republican debate Thursday night.
Chris Christie snuck into a slot at the primetime debate Thursday at 9 p.m. on Fox News as one of the top 10 candidates in the polls, avoiding participating in the less anticipated forum being held earlier in the evening between the candidates that didn't make the cut (a fate that former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania Rick Santorum met with disdain).

Speaking at a fundraiser in New Jersey Tuesday, Christie promised that he would bring his home state to the stage in Cleveland Thursday. Per Bloomberg:
“We’re not only going to bring our ideas to this campaign, and ultimately to the White House, we’re going to bring a little Jersey to the campaign and the White House as well. And -- I think you all know this -- that’s going to start on Thursday night in Cleveland, Ohio.”
Christie has not shied away from bringing his blunt style to the campaign trail. From confronting gun activists who question his record to conjuring up imagery of his activities in the bedroom, he has remained in the news cycle and out of the very bottom of the polls.
On Thursday, he'll be up against the nine other frontrunners for the Republican nomination, most notably real estate mogul turned clear frontrunner Donald Trump.
