The Chester Upland School for the Arts will remain closed Wednesday due to a power failure, the Chester Upland School District announced.
The Chester elementary school was closed Tuesday after district officials discovered an electrical challenge Monday when the district was closed for Columbus Day.
Chester Upland Superintendent Gregory Shannon said the district is working with PECO to restore power as quickly as possible. He urged parents to monitor the district's website and listen for robocall announcements for future updates.
The school serves 512 students in Pre-K through fifth grade.
