Chester police seek help identifying vehicle in fatal drive-by shooting

29-year-old Jayron Shaw was killed in a drive-by shooting in Chester on February 24, 2016.

The Chester Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify the vehicle used Wednesday afternoon in a fatal drive-by shooting of a 29-year-old man.

According to authorities, the shooting took place around 4:39 p.m. near 423 W. 3rd Street. Video footage of the incident shows a minivan pull up beside an idling sedan before a suspect inside opens the powered side door and fires multiple shots through the front windshield.

The victim, Jayron Shaw, was transported by ambulance to Crozer Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

As part of their investigation, the city of Chester Police Department and the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division are asking the public to provide any information known about the vehicle and its occupants.
