Police say a Cherry Hill woman attempted Saturday morning to burn down a home occupied by her ex-boyfriend, their child and the man's mother, the Burlington County Times reports.
Annie Ngo, 25, was charged with attempted murder, attempted aggravated arson, attempted burglary, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief in connection with the incident at a residence on Pointville Road in Pemberton.
Ngo was allegedly pouring fluid, which police believe was gasoline, on the home around 7:15 a.m. Saturday when she was confronted by the former boyfriend. She fled on foot when he told her he would call the police.
Responding officers reported a strong odor of gasoline and fluid on the outside of the house. Ngo was arrested around 12:15 p.m. the same day.
Ngo was placed in the Burlington County Jail, originally on $800,000 bail, which was later increased to $1 million, with no option to pay 10 percent. She was also ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
