Carson Wentz watched a number of wide receivers prospects this offseason, some of whom were recommended viewing by the Philadelphia Eagles with the idea that he would give the team feedback on what he saw on film. That is a rumor that has been known to several of the Eagles media community for some time now but has not been reported definitively.

A few weeks ago, Brandon Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation picked up a Periscope video of draft analyst Josh Norris of NBC saying as much. Gowton came to the conclusion that Wentz's list included West Virginia's Shelton Gibson, California' Chad Hansen, USC's JuJu Smith-Schuster, Eastern Washington's Cooper Kupp, Western Michigan's Corey Davis, Clemson's Mike Williams, and Washington's John Ross.
Monday afternoon, Wentz acknowledged that he did indeed look at prospects on film. When asked how many he watched, Wentz replied, "A handful."
If by "a handful" Wentz meant "nine," we recommend you take a look at our wide receiver Combine preview from back in February on what that "handful" of receivers may have been (minus one guy).
Wentz downplayed his role in watching receivers on film.
"I didn't watch too much in depth," he said. "I was honestly busy trying to evaluate my own game and our own system more than watching those guys."
Only 10 days to go.
