Police release video after Camden man shot dead at high-rise

Two suspects sought in killing of Johnathan Simmons, who was discovered lying in a lot behind a high-rise Friday night

Two 'persons of interest' identified in August 28 killing of 19-year-old Johnathan Simmons, who was found shot to death behind a Camden high rise.

Police are seeking two suspects after a man was shot and killed on the grounds of a Camden housing high-rise late Friday.

Camden County Police went to the Northgate I Apartments for a report of a person shot at about  11:25 p.m. The building is near the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, on the northern side of the entry ramp.

Officers found the victim, Johnathan Simmons, 19, of Camden, lying in a lot in the  rear of the building. 

Simmons was transported to Cooper University Hospital and pronounced dead at 11:44 p.m.

Two 'persons of interest' were captured on surveillance cameras as they traveled through the DRPA tunnel underneath the Ben Franklin Bridge. 



The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
