Make your Monday much sweeter by swinging past the soon-to-open Carlo’s Bake Shop in Rittenhouse Square, where the "Cake Boss" himself will be selling cannolis and cakes for a good cause.
TLC reality TV star Buddy Valastro is expected to spend a good part of the day in the City of Brotherly Love, beginning with a bake sale set from around noon to 2 p.m. outside the shop's new location at 21st and Walnut streets and followed by a cake judging fundraiser in the evening, philly.com reports.

All proceeds from the bake sale will benefit No Kid Hungry, in support of the Rachael Ray show’s 9 Million Meals initiative.
Starting at 6 p.m., Valastro is expected to take on the tough, tasty role of lead judge in the 11th annual Let Them Eat Cake competition at the Crystal Tea Room. Cake Boss’ "Next Great Baker" winner Dana Herbert will serve as assistant lead judge.
This year's theme is "Masterpieces of Cake," with competing chefs charged with sculpting edible interpretations of paintings, sculptures, architecture and more.
The competition starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $50 at the door. Attendees get an evening of cake tasting, cocktails and entertainment to benefit City of Hope, a medical research and treatment nonprofit organization.
