Bucks and Montgomery may be far from the ocean, but there's still a chance to swim with the sharks.

Entrepreneurs earn $5,000 from local investors by pitching their ideas in a Shark Tank-style competition at the upcoming Bucks/Montgomery Business Conference, which is being held at a former astronaut training ground in Warminster on October 22

Future titans of industry have until Friday to submit their product or business idea online. The application asks what your business or product is, what makes it unique, why you want to pitch the product, and what you want to do with the money.

After that, three finalists will get to face these sharks at the conference:

•Mark Kennedy, CEO of digital marketing agency SEOM Interactive

•Colleen Mook, CEO of personalized baby gift store Baby Be Hip

•Will Shuhaibar, CEO of TheBathOutlet.com, an online marketplace for bath products

Each finalist gets 10 minutes to "Sell It To the Sharks" live, and one will walk away with $5,000.

The rest of the conference day will be packed with networking events and panels on topics like Internet marketing, branding for small businesses and entrepreneurship. Sign up on bucksmontbizcon.com.
