It's been a great year for The Boss.
New Jersey rocker Bruce Springsteen has landed one of the top spots on Billboard's annual list ranking the 50 biggest "money makers" of 2016.

The recently published compilation that gives music fans a glimpse into the lives of the rich and famous reported that music industry revenue has increased for two straight years for the first time in nearly two decades. Collectively, the 50 artists included on the list raked in $890.7 million, jumping 34 percent since last year.
While touring revenues accounted up for a large chunk of the money, it was royalties from streaming sites like Spotify that pushed growth above last year.
Springsteen, who spent the year on his "The River Tour," landed the No. 3 spot on Billboard's list earning $42.2 million and ranking behind Beyonce and Guns N' Roses.
The rocker amassed $804,900 in music sales, $167,500 in streaming revenue, $415,200 from publishing and a whopping $40.9 million from his tour, according to Billboard's list.
"The Boss had 2016's second-highest grossing tour, yielding over $40 million for himself," Billboard wrote. "He banked $1.4 million in recording royalties, helped by sales of both his catalog and a late-2015 box set celebrating the 35th anniversary of 'The River.'"

Other notable stars on the list included Kenny Chesney at No. 10, Britney Spears at No. 39, Pearl Jam at No. 43. and Pentatonix at No. 50.
Springsteen, along with Philadelphia's Kevin Hart, found themselves on Forbes' list of "Highest Paid Celebrities" back in June.
