For those that love a good boozy bunch, this is an event to mark down on the calendar. On Sunday, May 15, the Callowhill restaurant BRICK and MORTAR will host a late brunch featuring rosé wine as the main attraction.
From 1-5 p.m. the bar will be stocked with rosé selections, which guests can purchase by the glass ($5) or bottle ($25). There will also be an Italian Rosé on tap for quick pours.
While guests sip on blush-to-strawberry hued wines, DJ Ricky Lee and DJ Petey Poblow will provide the brunch soundtrack.
As for what to pair with your pink drinks, chef Brian Ricci went for a pun. Toasts with house-cured salmon, cream cheese, and cucumber, with blue cheese, whipped honey, and berry compote and with deviled eggs will be available. For those that aren't into toasting with their wine, the standard brunch menu will run until 3 p.m.
BRICK and MORTAR is also debuting the Donut Brunch Burger, which will become available at all Sunday brunches but only in a limited quantity. The chef will only make a dozen each Sunday brunch.
There will be plenty of rosé, though. Here is the list that will be available on May 15:
•2014 Castel de Raimat Costers Del Segre from Spain
•2014 Chelsea - Dry Rosé from the United States
•2014 Sauvion Rosé D'Anjou from France
•Broadbent Vinho Verde Rosé from Portugal
•2015 Calcu Rosé from Chile
•Conde de Subirates Cava Rosé from Spain
Reservations are recommended.
