The Washington Capitals weren’t happy about Brayden Schenn’s cross-check to Evgeny Kuznetsov’s leg in Game 4. Schenn even acknowledged that it was “a pretty dumb play by me”:
The Caps decided to do something about it. Schenn and T.J. Oshie exchanged some words before the opening faceoff, and they decided to exchange some wild haymakers just seconds into the game:
If you’re scoring at home along with Harold Lederman, that is close to a 10-8 round for Schenn. Oshie, who was sticking up for a teammate, probably feels that he still made his point.
