A young boy is in stable condition after shooting himself with a gun he found in a Philadelphia park Wednesday afternoon.
According to NBC 10, the boy, 8, was at a park located at Chelten Avenue and Ardleigh Street shortly after 5:00 p.m. when he found the weapon on the ground. Philadelphia police say the boy picked up the gun and accidentally shot himself in the foot.
After the incident, the boy was transported to Einstein University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police are investigating the incident.
