The discovery of a body in Cape May County Monday afternoon resulted from a search for a teenager who was reported missing earlier in December.
Prosecutors say when [investigators] found the still unidentified deceased white female at a vacant property located at 100 Vermont Avenue in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township, they were investigating the disappearance of 15-year-old Nicole Angstadt.
Angstadt had been reported missing on Dec. 1 by her mother. An autopsy was conducted Tuesday morning to identify the body of the female who was found.
Authorities did not give any other information to suggest that the deceased was, in fact, Angstadt.
