Bob Dylan shows AARP love

Legendary musician's new release comes free in 50,000 AARP magazines

The times have a-changed, and Bob Dylan has always embraced that. The 73-year-old musician, set to release his 36th studio album Shadows in the Dark, has planned a show of appreciation for his generational cohort.

CNN Money reports that Dylan will be providing 50,000 copies of his new album for free in the next edition of "AARP the Magazine," the retirement group announced.

Recipients will be selected at random from AARP's 35 million subscribers, the group said. The February/March magazine will also include a rare interview with Dylan, who is releasing his first album since 2012.

While Dylan is known for running the gamut of musical genres with the signature of his original songwriting and lyrical style, Shadows in the Dark, out February 3, will feature covers of traditional pop songs from the twenties through the fifties, made famous by Frank Sinatra.
