Philadelphia police are investigating reports of bloody meat slabs wrapped in Muslim symbolic paper left on a porch in East Mt. Airy, 6ABC reports.
Investigators told 6ABC the homeowner made the discovery shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday in the unit block of East Montana Street. There was no word on whether the homeowner is Muslim or is associated with the religion.
According to a tweet by NBC Philadelphia reporter Matt DeLuca, the meat was wrapped in an "Islamic newspaper."
Deluca later tweeted that police were knocking on doors on East Montana Street, apparently seeking tips in an investigation to find who is responsible for the incident.
