Bill Nye "The Science Guy," author, TV host and CEO of the Planetary Society, is well-known for making science fun for children. Since the end of his TV show in 1998, however, he's arguably become more well-known for making fun of himself in the name of science.
Case in point: he just released a YouTube clip of himself "reacting" to things so that the Internet and his followers could turn those reactions into GIFs. (Around the web, reaction GIFs are used to respond to conversation in a humorous way. They often illustrate the absurdity, hilarity or impressiveness of the statement in question.)
Through the video, Nye hopes to gain interest in the Planetary Society, whose mission is, "empowering the world's citizens to advance space science and exploration."
He says, "I'll make a deal with you. Just check us out. You don't have to join, just check us out, and I will provide with you with 10 graphic interchange files, or GIFs, whether you join or not."
Well, he wasn't lying. Here they are, from laughing Bill Nye to "Cool story, bro" Bill Nye.
