Cornish, who was married with an 11-year-old daughter, was participating in the annual 19154 5K, which is named for the zip code of the Parkwood neighborhood it runs through.
Early indications suggest that Cornish suffered a massive heart attack shortly after the run began at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. His death came as a surprise to those who knew Cornish, who say he was a healthy man and an avid runner.
