See 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical' at the Academy of Music

The theater show explores singer/songwriter Carole King's true life story

The Academy of Music will host the Broadway show "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" from Tuesday, March 22, through Sunday, April 3. While many know the popular songs King penned, her story to success is less well-known.

King was a teenager when she broke into the music scene and was already writing hits for rock 'n' roll stars by her 20s.

The musical production will focus on what happened in her personal life once she found initial success, how she became one of the most successful solo acts and why her music defined a generation.

Of course, sharing King's inspirational story wouldn't be complete without incorporating her biggest hits. Attendees can expect to hear songs like "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "The Locomotion," "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Chains" and more timeless tunes.

The musical's album, in fact, won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2015.

Tickets, which are currently on sale, range from $31 to $130, depending on date, time and seat choice.
