Grammy-nominated producer and DJ Avicii, electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling and the ultimate '90s throwback band Hanson will headline the Forbes Under 30 Music Festival Tuesday, Oct. 6. The concert will take place at Festival Pier on Penn's Landing and will serve as the big finale for the four-day Forbes Under 30 Summit.
Avicii’s new album, "Stories," is set for release later this year. Hanson, meanwhile, recently announced its national "Roots & Rock N Roll" tour running through November. Stirling's most recent release, “Shatter Me,” debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s album chart in April 2014.
But that's not all the exciting news: The concert will also be free for 8,000 Philadelphia residents. Forbes is producing the concert along with Live Nation and The Global Poverty Project, the organization behind the annual Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park. Thus, after Labor Day, residents who sign up with Global Citizen to take action in the fight against extreme poverty will be able to see the concert free of charge.
A limited number of VIP tickets will also be available for purchase online, starting Friday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. Proceeds from those ticket sales will underwrite the concert and go toward Global Citizen.
