The general public is invited to attend a free screening of “On the Wissahickon” at the Ambler Theater on Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. Based on a book co-authored by Carol Franklin and David Contosta, a Chestnut Hill College professor, this documentary film explores how the Wissahickon Valley’s past, present, and future can serve as a global model for water management and urban stability. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with key voices from the film, including Gail Farmer, the executive director of the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association, and Maura McCarthy, executive director of the Friends of the Wissahickon.
