The Italian gastropub Alla Spina is hosting a cook-off for charity Feb. 28. A portion of proceeds from the event will go toward school lunch and food education programs in more than 45 Philly schools, through the Vetri Community Partnership.
At the restaurant, two chefs will compete against each other in a four-course culinary face-off. Attendees will dine on eight dishes total during the evening competition, with a beverage pairing for each course. After dinner, guests will vote for a winner.
The two chefs going head-to-head are Vetri Community Partnership's Director of Culinary Operations Carla Norelli and Alla Spina's Chef de Cuisine Julie Kline.
Tickets for the event are $100 per person, with a cash bar available as well.
